Running: 3mi daily run at a comfortable pace is likely as good as any other form for general cardiovascular health. There may be slight differences in conditioning levels reachable with other plans but not likely significantly better for long term cv health. It is important to do it regularly at least 3-5 days a week and not be desultory.
