Wound managaement: Allowing this to bleed initially was appropriate. It would help to flush out any potential bacteria. Flush the wound with sterile saline, remove any foreign material. Medical care will be dependent on depth, size and complications that might occur. Check the color of the digit and also check for sensation. If anything is altered you need medical attention. Once clean cover with antibiotics light.
