Sclero or laser.: Spider veins get their name because they look like spider legs. The short answer is that sclerotherapy is the gold standard and usually works well. Topical laser is sometimes effective. The longer answer is that if you have many spider veins and/or combinations of spiders, reticulars and varicose veins then you should first have a venous reflux exam. You should see a vein specialist.

Spider eradication: If spider vein appearance bothers you or if symptomatic with pain or itching, these are valid reasons to seek treatment. Be advised that there is no insurance coverage as it is deemed cosmetic.
