An angioplasty is when a small balloon and/or a stent is used to treat a blocked artery in the heart. Open heart surgery is used to describe surgery on the heart, typically for coronary artery bypass or valve related surgery.

Hi, I am from India. Always bypass heart surgery better than inserting stent(angioplasty)? or it depends on circumstances like if there are more than 2 blocked arteries with more than 70% blockage, doctor would suggest a bypass surgery to heart?
