After in general: Protein supplements should be used immediately after finishing a strength training session for best results. Some people who have extremely long workouts (usually professional athletes who also have the time to recover from these) may benefit from supplementation during the workout itself. But for the majority whose sessions are 1 hr or less, after is perfect.
