A member asked:

Should i maintain the time gap while i am having antibiotic, if it is 3 times a day, is that mean 8 hrs exactly gap or 1 or 2 hrs before and after is ok?

Probably OK: The reason for the spacing is to maintain levels above the minimum bacteriostatic concentration for the particular organism being treated. Since Amoxicillin has a half-life of about one hour it should actually be taken every 4 hrs at minimum, but for a normally immune host it should be ok. If you are treating acute bronchitis this is probably worthless anyway since over 95% are due to a virus.
