A member asked:

Is bleeding 2 and a half weeks after a cone biopsy normal? changing every one to two hours. i am on tranic 3 times per day and a second course of antibiotics. 2 different antibiotics 4 times a day.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cone bx ?'s: A cone biopsy can be extensive enough to sever blood vessels which will continue bleeding. Ask your gyn surgeon who performed the biopsy about cautery with a cryo device or hot cautery which should stop the continued bleeding. You may require additional sutures to stem this kind of bleeding. Not sure why antibiotics are used from the information provided.
