A member asked:

I've been taking oral antibiotics for 8 years after every 1 month gaps..and had done 8 times of peeling..so, is there any risk of skin darkening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibiotic risk: That's a lot of antibiotics! if you are taking them for a medical condition and followed by a doctor then you should discuss the skin peeling issue with your doctor. There is a serious and rare side effect on the skin that can occur with certain antibiotics. Another problem with chronic antibiotic use is resistance of the bacteria. Pigment change of skin is possible if peel repeatedly.
