Back pain: Back pain can occur from a tear in the annulus, impingement of the nerve by a ruptured discuss or an inflamed facet joint. If the pain persists, another pain generator in the back may be causing the pain. An updated mri, a discogram/ct of the lumbar spine, and an evaluation by a neurosurgeon or spine specialist may provide answers to why the pain persists.
