Thought to: be caused by bile irritation of intestines. Trial of a bile binding agent such as cholestyramine MIGHT be helpful. Most cases resolve without treatment. Ask your doctor for specific advice in your case.

Unsure: sine people get diarrhea for a few weeks after gallbladder removal. It is called post-cholecystectomy syndrome and resolves over time. Some studies indicate it is more common in women. Some believe it is due to a constant trickle of while experienced by the: instead of a normal bonus from the gallbladder. If it is chronic should not be due to the surgery and you may need a colonoscopy
