Bile regulation: The gallbladder stores bile, and excretes it when needed. After the gallbladder is removed, bile flow is less easily regulated and can cause diarrhea. This usually occurs early after surgery, but resolves after a few months in most people. Look up "braty" diet. This can be helpful.
