Intrasellar mass: The sella turcica is where the pituitary gland is located. Most intrasellar masses are related to the pituitary gland. There are a variety of neoplastic and non-neoplastic masses. The most common tumor in adults is pituitary adenoma. Speak with your doctor about this. You've had a CT scan, but an MRI scan is far better at evaluating these.

Hypophysis: In the sellar region the pituitary gland or hypophysis is found. by checking hormone levels such as prolactin, growth hormone, etc... the potential component affected in the gland will be identified in the majority of cases. Thanks
