A member asked:

I had a ct scan due to a mass found on my left kidney. when the 1st report came out it said "rule out malignancy". now another report has come out 2 days later and does not say "rule out malignancy" can you tell me what that means?

Renal mass: Renal masses are first defined as cystic or solid. 26% of renal masses are cystic and typically are benign. Solid renal masses include Renal Cell Carcinoma (36%), Nephroblastoma (1%), Mucinous tubular and spyndly cell CA (28%). There are some others too, but these are the majority.
