Can you tell me about a sudden (like overnight) onset of tooth/gum pain?

Not much to tell..: The tooth in question was apparently asymptomatic for a long, long time. This may be due to a cavity, gum disease, or you may have fractured the tooth overnight while grinding. Call a local dentist for an evaluation and treatment.
