A member asked:

Could inflammation be seen on a abdominal ct?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, sometimes,: Only if there are secondary anatomic changes, such as fat stranding or swelling. And of course it depends on the degree of inflammation, too. If inflammation is not bad enough to cause anatomic changes, you will not see it on ct.
