Can an abdominal hernia be seen on a ct scan with contrast while lying down. i cannot feel a bump when i lie down so would it still be visible on a ct scan while lying down?

Yes: CT of abdomen and pelvis with contrast is a sensitive test to establish weather the patient has a hernia or not. It is often used to see if the hernia is incarcerated or not. Hernias that are incarcerated need immediate surgical attention.
