Tarter removal: An ultrasonic cleaning instrument can be used at the dental office by their hygienist to remove the bulk amount of tarter. Hand scaling with instruments will be used to removed the remaining tarter. A final polish is then done to the teeth. I would also recommend that fluoride treatments be applied in many situations, both children and adults for certain dietary concerns.
