Diagnosis: A diagnosis is needed to determine the cause of the bleeding. Medications? Periodontal disease? Cannot possibly tell over the internet. It may be as simple as a professional cleaning, or as complex as full mouth perio surgery. Your local dentist and periodontist are the definitive source of info for your questions.

Visit a dentist: Red, bleeding and swollen gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, advanced gum disease. Untreated gingivitis can lead to the tooth loss and other health problems. See your dentist ASAP because the sooner you treat it the better the outcome.
