Is breastfeeding a good way to lose weight?

Usually: Nursing mothers tend to lose their pregnancy weight faster than mothers who are breastfeeding. An extra 500 cals/day is needed to breastfeed without losing weight. Bear in mind after weaning your baby to not continue the added calories or you will end up gaining weight after stopping nursing.
