Breastfeeding and we: If you are exclusively breastfeeding, no formula and any other food for the first 6 months after that with introduction of solid food you continue to breasfeed for another 6 months you will go back to your pre-pregnancy weight. Moms who breastfeed they lose about 600 calories a day. 600 calories equals 66 grams of fat ( burning). Breastfeeding reduces the rate of obesity in both moms and babies.

Depends: Breastfeeding mother statistically lose more weight than those who do not breastfeed. How much weight you should lose is largely dependent of your pre-pregnancy weight, normal weight, underweight, or overweight and how much weight you gained while pregnant. Warning, rapid weight loss can adversely affect your milk production which is dependent of mom's diet and fat stores.
