Depends...: Nasal steroid may be effective for nasal polyps but drugs like singulair (montelukast) are likely more effective for nasal polyps associated with nsaid-induced nasal polyposis (noted that you are taking ibuprofen). However a high % of people with polyps will need surgical removal.

Polyps: If they are due to allergies, treat the allergies, consider allergen immunotherapy. Depending on their extent, antileukotrienes may help, such as singulair (montelukast) and zyflo cr. Newer evidence shows that xolair may also help improve them, along with asthma and nasal allergies. I would highly recommend you see an allergist.
