Upon doctor looking in throat she stated i had yellow post nasal drip. when i felt it and spit it out afterwards, it was very clear like when i have allergies sometimes, no color to it at all. should i still worry about a sinus infection?

I feel that to suspect a new sinus infection, a head cold that developed over a week earlier worsened with ongoing head congestion and continuing nasal discharge of thickish discolored mucus with or without fever. In your case symptoms are not characteristic of a sinus infection at this time. and I wouldn't consider going on antibiotics now.
