It is not serious: Your platelet count is slightly high. This doe snot necessarily mean anything serious. We do not worry about platelet counts unless they go above 450, 000. So i would sit on it for now and recheck one more time in 2-3 months time. If it is increasing, go see an internist for advice.

Discuss fully: Platelets are also acute reactants to inflammation or disease. Even simple infections or inflammatory conditions can cause platelet count to go up. The level is not alarming but if concerned observe, repeat and discuss the result with your doctor with some questions to be clarified.
