I suggest you: Delay the crown restoration on the root canal tooth until all symptoms are resolved and all questions answered as to your ongoing issues. You may have to seek a second opinion. Root canals can look ok technically and yet there may be a problem. Good luck.

Sensitivity: Something might still be amiss if the tooth is sensitive after 2 months. There may be a lingering subclinical infection or fracture that has eluded your endodontist. It would be best if that tooth felt terrific before proceeding with the prosthetics.

Lingering pain from?: There might be any number of causes for this- missed or accessory canal, crown or root fracture, bite high in excursions, and periodontal problem are some possibilities. I would suggest you also have your general dentist (and second endodontist?) take a look and consider getting a cbct (3d radiographic scan) that often reveals things that normal 2d x-ray can't.
