Best avoided: All diabetics should minimize high glycemic foods- those that raise your blood sugar. This is measured by the glycemic index. Dried dates have the highest glycemic index of all foods tested- they raise your blood sugar even more than eating the same weight of pure sugar! i advise you avoid them.Berries are good low-glycemic fruits.
