I have had a violent cough for a month. been to the dr six times. cough so violent that i vomit. also cough up white, frothy mucus. have been on 3 antibiotics, 2 inhalors, prednisone, tessalon.

Cough: You may need to have a chest xray and a bronchoscopy. It might be wise to have a referral to a pulmonary specialist.

Violet cough: Have your doctor check you for pertussis or whooping cough.
