Residual cough: If you had appropriate antibiotics and exam/xray does not suggest residual problem you may have post infectious cough. The airways can become sensitive from original infection and then go into spasm easily which can give cough, wheezing and chest tight. Those with asthma or smokers more likely to have this happen. Responds to same treatment as asthma and will resolve with time.

Need re-evaluation: You don't tell us whether you had any allergy or asthma symptoms before this episode. Assuming that you did not have such symptoms, you may have a lingering cough after a respiratory infection, that may last 4 weeks. At his point you should see an allergist/immunologist or pulmonary specialist.
