?culture done: Was a culture done to make sure you are on the right antibiotics? Since you have already had two different ones it is important to eat 2 yogurts a day, so you do not get a bacterial infection in your gut. It sounds like a second opinion may be needed.

Infection: With any infection a culture needs to be taken. We don't know how long the infection was there not whether or not a family doc was attempting this. No knock on family doc's , it's just something podiatrists are the best at. See your treating physician or see your podiatrist for a second opinion.
