Health tap Prime: The easiest way to get it treated is to connect through Health Tap Prime service. Eventually, you may need to have the ingrown toenail removed. This is usually done by your primary care provider or a podiatrist.

Be seen: An infected ingrown toe nail is caused when the edge of the nail burrows into the soft tissue, and resultant infection is possible. If it is mild, you can raise the edge of the nail up and place packing under it and soak on soapy water three times/day. More commonly, it requires resection of a part of the nail and antibiotics for which you would have to be seen. Antibiotics alone not adequate.

When you need it....: It's a matter of having a physician that you can contact when you need help, and more importantly, one who can respond quickly and seamlessly, because you have already developed a patient doctor relationship. This is a perfect Healthtap senario. You can either start with Healthap concierge service now, or visit the nearest urgent care.
