Obstruction: Not having bowel movement for 2 weeks should be of your serious concern? You are 57 years. Please go to er and have evaluation. Remember the colon do perforate due to obstruction pressure. First you need to release this pressure and second find out the cause of this obstruction. Thanks.

Large and small gut: The large and small intestine have the ability to distend and can hold an amazing amount of food but you need to see a doc to diagnose what is wrong here. Lack of response to laxatives is very unusual.
