Here are some ...: Kegel exercise is to strengthen pelvic floor muscles - striated muscles - just like we exercise biceps and triceps to gain their strength. The key is learn how to isolate pelvic floor muscles around urinary / anal sphincteric areas. If exercising those muscles correctly with regular tightening and relaxing, you will see your abdominal wall - notably lower abdomen - moving.

Improve urinary: continence & hopefully avoid surgery & need or reduce need for continence improving surgery by strengthening pelvic floor musculature. Kegel excercises can be performed in any posture from standing to lying by squeezing buttocks together whilst trying to internally rotate thighs. This muscle contraction is maintained for 10 seconds, release & repeat 10 times about 5 times/day.
