Help docs! i'm trying to find out what causes lymphedema and is it due to the lose of lymphnodes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lymphatic blockage: I suspect you have had axillary lymph node dissection. Removal of the lymph nodes in the axilla (armpit) can sometimes result in blockage of the lymph channels and swelling of the upper extremity called lymphedema. Any other condition that can cause blockage of the lymph fluid may cause lymphedema such as radiation treatment or tumors of the lymph nodes, etc... There are treatments available.
