I have a very large, very painful cervical lymph nodes with no cause, eventually had to go to accident and emergency unit because pain was unbearable. doc wasnt very concerned, gave me anti inflammatories. should i be concerned?

Not yet: A virus infection is the most likely cause. It should go away within a week or so. Sometimes the virus is mononucleosis, which usually causes severe fatigue. Occasionally a bacteria infects lymph nodes, in which case an antibiotic is needed. See your primary care doctor later next week if not improving.
