When taking hydrocortisone supplementation for partial adrenal insufficiency, what is the best way to monitor for any adverse impact on bone health or other health issue due to excess hydrocortisone?

BMD: For "bone health" you can follow bone mineral density (bmd) potentially with a baseline and after a few years. May also see an endocrinologist for more personalized recommendations. Steroids are risk factors for bone loss. Other risk factors of chronic steroids include infection, cataracts, weight gain, diabetes.

Check with your PCP: Or the internist/endocrinologist would be keeping an eye on the blood levels of the cortisol and acth , and take appropriate action, to maintain your cortisol levels. Bone density study could help to maintain bone health.
