See below: If you are corticosteriods for a long period of time, you do need to be medications to protect your bones. Besides hormones, you could go a class of drugs known as bisphosphonates. Talk to your doctor about your options.

To many factors to: Be answered easily on the internet. Check w/your doctors. There are varying opinions on estrogen replacement make sure you're on appropriate calcium and vitamin d. A bisphosphonate may also be considered if indicated to preserve bone mass. Have you had a baseline dexa?
