Not long at all: This is a minor surgery and you may be able to go back to your culinary school within 48 hours most o , but of the time. But ask this question from the surgeon who is doing the surgery as the location of ganglion may require longer rest to your wrist.

Ganglion cyst: The time you would need to take off is the time needed for the surgical incision to heal and that is typical two weeks.

Depends how much: And how long you use your wrist, but probably no more than one month. Ask your surgeon for specific advice in your case.

3-7 days: Depending on the procedure either open surgery or arthroscopy, post-operative recovery times can vary. Also, in many cases there are other joint pathology identified during the surgery. In most cases, the wrist needs to be splinted for 3-7 days. For mucous cysts, there is no need for splinting and the wrist can be used immediately.
