If wax was hard: Can stick to wall and bleed, you can avoid this by using mineral oil or olive oil for 3days prior to next visit.

It can : The skin in the ear is thin and on the bone and very sensitive. Wax can get very hard and that makes it sometimes very painful to get out. Hang in there.

Expected: It doesn't sound out of the ordinary, especially if you have hard wax stuck in the canal. Please follow the instructions and go back for completion. You can also use mineral oil or peroxide to help soften the wax. Use the preparations at night and put cotton in the ears so that your natural body heat will do the work of softening it overnight.
