Not necessary: Ciprodex is an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ear drop for an infection in the ear canal, usually swimmers ear, and will in itself, soften cerumen. Diluting it with debrox, a wax softener may decrease the possibility of treating the ear canal infection efficiently.
