A member asked:

How long should i leave debrox in my ear? the box says "for several min." but doesn't specify. the ent said my impaction was "like cement."

Switch: There is no set time to leave debrox in the ear before letting it drain out. Leave it in as long as you can tolerate it. You may want to try using simple mineral oil which you can place in the ear canal then put a cotton ball and let it work overnight. Do this for a number of nights in a row and the wax should soften naturally so that your ENT can remove whatever doesn't exit on its own.
