Yes: To different degrees. Sometimes we even get addicted to people, when away, we go through withdrawal.

Psych: There is a difference between physiologic addiction and psychogical addiction. For example herion, tobacco and alcohol are physiologic. You will have symptoms of withdraw if you use long enough. Psychologically you may crave or need something like a certain food but if you don't get it you will not have any symptoms. Addiction is very complex.
