Not proven: Has never been proven or shown, brush and floss carefully and regularly..And you will do much to prevent problems. Happy new year!

No: The cleaning of bacteria is mostly by mechanical brushing and flossing. Mouthwash and toothpaste provides more of an adjunctive effect. They provided lavaging action and the minty fresh taste. Fluoride in toothpaste have minor anticariogenic effect only due to low bioavailability on the surface of the tooth. In order to be effective, Fluoride has to be remained on the surface for 1/2 hour.
