Shooting pain: I'm sure there is something to take . However , it is better to find out the cause of the shooting pain first , then , if medication is required , take something. See your podiatrist for an exam and x rays . This could be nerve entrapment or a neuroma - neither of which otc meds will help with very readily.

Maybe: Tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil may help as well as topical medication. However, if this is persistent, see podiatrist.
