I have a sharp, sudden, shooting pain just occasionally in my left big toe. it only lasts a second or two, and then completely goes away. ?

Big toe pain: The big toe is a very important part of the foot. Pain to this toe or the large joint that connects it to the foot can come from many different sources: neuritis, trauma, pressure from shoes, etc. Due to the pain only being only briefly experienced it may be from the aforementioned joint, but should be certainly looked at by a foot and ankle specialist.
