RSV and surfaces: RSV is a virus that can live on surfaces and it is possible that contact with the virus can lead to symptoms and infection. Avoid contact with the elderly and young infants. Good hand washing, nasal saline with gentle suction and cool air mist may relieve the symptoms. Fluids to avoid dehydration and a flu vaccination are suggested.
