Most ~ 8days: General viral sheading in RSV lasts 3-8 days in most; in some with complications they could shed for 4-6 wks. Droplet isolation(use of mask) & good handwashing will contain the spred in most cases.The germ can live for 1/2 hr on your hands and many hourd on surfaces.

First 2-8 days : Person is most contagious in the first 2-4 days but may be contagious for as long as 8 days Symptoms can last for at least 3 weeks such as coughing.
