Not likely: If you have a sore throat and a runny nose you probably have a rhinovirus, the common cold. It can still be quite nasty in terms of feeling ill. If having too much trouble swallowing see your primary care physician. Strep throat should only cause sore throat, along with fatigue and some other generalized symptoms.
