Unusual but: Unusual but not necessarily abnormal. It depends on other symptoms, and any reasons for enlarged adenoids. I would recommend a good exam by an ENT including flexible scope nasal, nasopharynx, and larynx exams. This can be due to reflux, sinusitis, tumor, chronic infection.
