A member asked:

For people who are nearsighted, like myself, is it normal for one eye to be a little more myopic than the other, or does it indicate optic neuritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it is normal : One eye can be more or less myopic than the other without being abnormal. Symptoms of optic neuritis involve pain, vision loss of color and flashing lights. If you are having any of these symptoms you should see your eye doctor and regular doctor since optic neuritis can be an indication of an autoimmune disorder like ms.
