Can you be myopic in one eye and hyperopic in the other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: While unlikely, it is possible to have some degree of nearsightedness (myopia) in one eye while having some farsightedness (hyperopia) in the other. The myopic eye could have a cataract, causing nearsightedness, or the farsighted eye may be smaller from birth, causing the hyperopia. There are other possible causes, but there is certainly a possibility.
