Be seen: Ouch! it sounds like that really hurt, and you really need to be seen and examined to know about injuries to your toe. You could have broken it. To keep swelling down you may want to keep it elevated and put ice on it. Wrap the ice in a towel -- not directly on your skin. Ice your toe 15 minutes on, and then 15 minutes off. Good luck.
